Archbishop Dean Zenei Okimura
On November 30, 2018, Archbishop Dean Zenei Okimura was called home by his grandfather, his father and Lord Kobo Daishi. He has gone into eternal meditation at the same age as Kobo Daishi. Okimura Sensei conveyed to us that a heart attack in 2012 led to a brief visit with his late grandfather, his late father, and Lord Kobo Daishi. However, they told him to go back to Koboji Shingon Mission because he was still needed and it was "not his time". Okimura Sensei returned to his parishioners and continued to provide us with his prayers, consultations, guidance and teachings. Sensei, your blessings, compassion, and humor will live on forever in our hearts and minds. We are so fortunate and grateful that you shared a part of your life with us. We will continue to cultivate your and Kobo Daishi's teachings and will ensure the continuance of Koboji Shingon Mission's quest and legacy. ARIGATO SENSEI. OTSUKARESAMA DESHITA. REST IN PEACE. WE MISS YOU. From your faithful and loyal members and friends. NAMU DAISHI HENJO KONGO.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
