Roy peacefully passed away on December 24 at the age of 75 in Honolulu. He was born to Eijiro and Hatsume Tanoue on January 26, 1943. He will be fondly missed by his wife, Karen; two daughters, Kristie Ann and Kareen; brothers, Harry and Gerald, and their respective wives, Amy and Irene; sisters, Grace and Karen; loving nieces, nephews, and grand-relatives; and wonderful friends. Roy attended Kaimuki High School and Honolulu Community College, and he served in the U.S. Army. He was a welder, retiring from the Navy Public Works Center in 2001. Celebration of Life Service: Monday, January 21, 2019. Visitation between 9 and 10 a.m.; service at 10 a.m.; luncheon and final aloha to follow from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel, 535 18th Avenue. Casual attire.
