Daniel Hook Wong
90, passed away on December 13, 2018. A graduate of Kaimuki HS, he later attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo on his GI bill. His company, Imua Builder Services, was Hawaii's preeminent general contractor and millwork fabricator for high end residential and commercial projects which enabled him to travel all over Asia in search of exotic hardwoods and new business alliances. Danny helped establish the Night in Chinatown Festival and the Chinese Dragon Boat Races in Hawaii. A dedicated family man, Danny is survived by wife Gladys; sons Michael, Steven, and Randall; daughters Debra (Mike) Lee, and Donna (Vicente) Wong; grandchildren Zachary, Kassidy, and Kaiana Lee, Brycen, Travis, and Parker Wong, and Addison Bowles; sisters Peggy Lam and Beatrice Wong. Preceded in death by daughter Trina (Mike) Bowles. Visitation at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary will begin at 10:00 am on Monday, January 21, 2019 with services to follow at 11:00 am. Private interment at a later date.
