89, of Kailua, Oahu passed away on December 19, 2018 in the loving care of family. He retired at the age of 64 from Jorgensen Steel Company as a Shipping Supervisor. Grew up in Kalihi, and after he completed his education at Farrington High School he enlisted in the Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska. Allan was a very talented and humble man that was loved by his family and anyone that had a chance to know him. He enjoyed free diving, water skiing, playing the ukulele/guitar, singing, dancing, golfing, horseshoes, darts, sharing jokes, & the handyman was always busy fixing something around the house or cutting the grass. He also loved playing Keno and the Slot Machines in Las Vegas. He was predeceased by Wife Mary Silva. He is survived by his children: Allan (Beverly) Silva, Jr., Debra (Robert) Bohol, Charles (Deanne) Silva, & MaryEllen Silva. His long time companion Arline White has been by his side for 24 years. San Jose Ohana: Bob (Kathy) White, Sandy (Bill) Gaynor, Patty (Bob) Gault, Cindy (Jim) Arthur. Total: 23 Grandchildren, 15 Great grandchildren & 2 more on their way. Services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Borthwick Mortuary, Maunakea Chapel. Visitation: 9:30 a.m.; Program/Services: 10:30 a.m. Burial: 1:00 p.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
