Bernice, who lived in Wahiawa, was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and dedicated business co-owner of Nishi Service in Pearl City. Born in Kawailoa Camp 5, Waialua, she passed away on December 24, 2018 at age 89. She was born in Kawailoa Camp 5, Waialua. Bernice was predeceased by husband, Yoshiaki "Joe Nishi", parents, Teichi and Masaru Hirokawa, and brothers Wallace and George Hirokawa. She is survived by sons, Russell (Leann) and Wayne (Terrene); daughters, Norine (Ted) Galton and Charlene (Isaac) Lee; grand- daughters, Kelsey, Shawn, Mariko, Erin, and Kelly; and sisters, Thelma "Teruko" Urabe, Beatrice "Tatsuko" Endo, and Mildred "Tomiko" (Tuck) Young. Services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Mililani Mortuary Park Mauka Chapel. Visitation begins at 5:00 pm with service at 6:00 pm. Casual attire. No flowers please.
