Eileen Laughlin of Kailua, age 91, peacefully went to heaven on January 14, 2019. Eileen spent many hours volunteering in the community and schools. Her notable volunteer contributions included: starting Bobby Sox Softball and AYSO soccer in Windward Oahu; Girl Scout Leader; Kailua Inter School volleyball program; participated in PTA at Maunawili Elem, Kailua Inter, and Kailua High Schools; was a Deaconess at Windward United Church of Christ; volunteered at Women's Community Correctional Center and Ho'omaluhia Garden, and many more. She was an avid gardener, wonderful mother, and loving wife. Her Celebration of Life will be held at Central Union, Windward Campus (across from Aikahi Shopping Center) on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Visitation: 2:00 p.m.; Service: 2:30 p.m., refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, donation to Central Union, Windward.
