Beth, age 47, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Honolulu on March 28, 1971 to Stanley and Julia Young, Beth was a 1989 graduate of the Kamehameha Schools, Kapalama Campus. She was a proud member of the Kamehameha Schools Marching Band while in high school. Beth also attended UH Hilo after high school. She held managerial positions at Longs Drugs and, most recently, at Foodland corporate offices. In addition to her parents, Beth is survived by her loving husband, Winton Afong; 3 sons: Hunter Reed-Young, Nainoa and Nakoa Afong; grandson: Legend Reed-Young; sister: Tara-Lyn (Lincoln) Streadbeck; brother: Ryan-Alton (Lynn) Young; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Celebration of Life for Beth will be held on February 9, 2019 at the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Memorial Chapel, located on the grounds of Kamehameha Schools, Kapalama Campus, 1887 Makuakane Street.
