FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Richard “Mamo” Mamoru Yoshimura
Richard 90, of Honolulu, HI, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on December 21, 2018 at Queen's Medical Center. Born in Puunene, Maui, he graduated from Henry Perrine Baldwin High School in Maui and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Richard was a retired VP/Chief Appraiser of the Bank of Hawaii and a retired Lt. Colonel of the U.S. Army Reserve. Throughout his retirement, he continued to serve as an usher at the 5:00 p.m. Saturday mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. A loving, caring husband of 63 years to Rose, Richard is also survived by his 5 children; Sharlyn (Bob) Chenet, Robin (Lillian) Yoshimura, Sherri Sasaki, Faye Kusatsu and Kathy (Billy) Vanderford; 13 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren; sister, Elaine (Fumi) Naito and many nephews and nieces. A celebration of Richard's life will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel. Visitation at 9:00 a.m. and service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. The family requests no floral or monetary gifts. Arrangements Provided By: Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel
