FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

William Pregill
William Pregill, 97, passed away in Honolulu on January 16, 2019. Born in Aiea, he grew up on the Sugar Plantation with his 5 brothers and 2 sisters. When he wasn't playing, he worked delivering newspapers and cutting sugar cane for the plantation. He was a student of the first graduating class (1939) of Farrington High School. During WWII he was an MP and joined the Merchant Marines. His career path lead him to Hickam AF Base where he continued his education and retired as the Head of the Jet Propulsion Shop. He married his wife LaVern and had their son Will. William enjoyed reading, playing football, hunting, fishing, golfing, having a fascination with science, space, the natural world. technology, mechanics, being a handyman, gardening, playing cards, listening to music, making ti leaf leis, ballroom dancing, dining out, poke, spending time with friends and family and traveling the world. He lived an active and full life as a loving and devoted husband/father; he will be missed. He continues to be a driving force of inspiration, determination, perseverance, hardworking, patience, compromise, being smart, loving, kind, being funny and silly. He is survived by wife, LaVerne Pregill; son, Will Pregill; brother, Albert Pregill; sister, Evelyn Fosnaugh. Service will be held at Valley of the Temples Trousdale Chapel on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. Visitation: 9:30 am; Service: 10:30 am Burial: 12:00 pm at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
