Anna Marie Puanani Springer
Of Kaneohe, HI passed away in Castle Hospital, surrounded by her family on January 13, 2019. She was 70 years old. Anna Marie is survived by children, Sean Springer, Janina (Iwasaki) Springer; grandchildren, Nanea Springer and Kamalei Springer; great-grandchild Kanawai Springer; brothers, Danny Clark and Billy Clark; sisters, Linda Abraham and Lisa Gamundoy. Anna Marie was born in Hawaii on May 30, 1948 to William and Evelyn (Alexander) Clark. She attended school on Maui, Kauai, Wake Island and Oahu and was a graduate of Castle High School. Anna Marie had a successful 30-year career in the banking industry, climbing her way up the corporate ladder. She started as a bank teller and through hard work, dedication, and devotion to service, she moved up to management and eventually Senior Vice President of American Savings Bank. She loved her career at ASB and enjoyed the opportunity to mentor, advocate for non-profits and community development that brought her recognition by the State of Hawaii Legislature and Women in Business. She equally loved her family and was integral in creating family gatherings to allow the space necessary to make everlasting memories for generations to enjoy. Anna Marie was quick to offer a smile, compliment or helping hand and chose to always see the good in people. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and colleagues. Celebration of Life Service: February 16, 2019, Saturday, at 9:00 a.m., with formal services to begin at 10:00 a.m. at Oahu Cemetery Chapel, located at 2162 Nuuanu Ave., Honolulu, HI.
