She retired as an RN from Hawaii Sate Hospital in 1993. Bernice is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Richard Tam. She found joy in multiple activities such as traveling to Vegas, playing cards, singing karaoke, playing her ukulele, attending St. Ann's Catholic Church for Sunday services and visiting her son, Russell in Hilo. She always kept busy by doing projects around the house and volunteered her time with the Kahalu'u Lions Club. Most of all, Bernice loved being surrounded by her family and friends in her Kahalu'u home of 46 years. She will be truly missed but we find comfort in knowing that she has reunited with her husband Richard and left the best parts of herself in each one of us. VISITATION WILL BE HELD AT ST. ANN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH IN KANEOHE ON SATURDAY, FEBRUAY 16, 2019 AT 10:00 - 11:00 AM. MASS AT 11:30 AM. FLOWERS OMITTED. Arrangements Provided By: Oahu Mortuary
