Rose Emiko (Miyasaki) Ikeda
Rose Emiko "Emi" (Miyasaki) Ikeda passed away peacefully on December 13, 2018 in Honolulu, Hawaii at the age of 76. Rose is survived by her husband Robert, son Bryan (Wendie), daughter Dawn Rogers (Zachary), grandchildren Jacob, Megan, Emerson and Peyton, and siblings Paul Miyasaki (Thelma), Doris Ida, Jeanette Belen (Fred), Jean Okikawa (Raymond) and Harriet Yoshikawa. She is preceded in death by her parents, Shigetoshi and Chizuko Miyasaki and her sister, Florence Okuda. Rose was born on November 26, 1942 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She grew up in Kalihi and graduated from Farrington High School in 1960. She married Robert Ikeda in 1964 and they settled into the Halawa Heights neighborhood of Aiea where they raised their two children and subsequently welcomed four grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Hosoi Mortuary with a reception immediately following. Visitation at 12:00 PM. Aloha attire. No flowers.
