Henry “Hank” Mendonca
93, died peacefully at his home in Pauoa Valley on January 16, 2019. Retired from Honolulu Gas Company after 45 years of service, he was a strong and hard-working man. Uncle Hank was an avid left-handed golfer and a skilled tako man who knew every tako hole at Ala Moana Beach Park. He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Libby Mendonca and his sons, Robert (Wanda) and Henry. He is survived by his sons Kahalelaukoa, Kukunaokala (Deedee), Kauinohea (Jernell) and his daughters Carol (Vernon) Rosa and Lokai (Hoku) Kekauoha, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. His ashes will be scattered on February 23, 2019 off Ala Moana Beach Park (Kewalo entrance of the park) at 9:30 a.m. Friends are invited to paddle out with family members. Loose flowers only.
