Joseph "Joe" Buggs transitioned peacefully on February 2, 2019 in Reno, Nevada at the age of 68. He was surrounded by family and close friends. Joe was born in Petersburg, VA on November 25, 1950. He joined The United States Marine Corps and served 22 years. He moved to Hawaii in 1992 and recently became a resident of Reno in 2017. He was a regular at all of the local bowling alleys and was loved by everyone. He will be greatly missed. Joe is survived by his wife Kimberly Buggs of Pearl City, HI. He leaves behind his three children; daughter Shelonda Buggs of Savannah, GA; two sons: Rolland (Hekili) Holland of Honolulu, HI and James T. Buggs of Houston, TX; three grandchildren: Mackenzi, Brayanna and Jaymi Holland; and many close friends and family from Hawaii, California, Nevada, North Carolina, as well as Virginia which is his home state.
