Anne Mary Sutton
Anne Mary SuttonAnne Sutton, passed away at home on February 5, 2018 at the age of 97. She was born in New York City in 1921 and attended Shipley School and Vassar College. In the summer of 1941, while visiting her aunt in Honolulu, she met Navy Lieutenant Richard (Ike) Sutton, and they were married in February 1942. Ike Sutton died in 2001. Anne was a teacher, business woman, potter, active in the Republican Party, president of the Soroptimist International of Honolulu, bred and showed her champion Norwegian Elkhounds, and was member of numerous non-profit organizations. She was an avid supporter of University of Hawaii sports and regularly attended meetings of the Na Koa Football Club and the Honolulu Quarterback Club. She is survived by four children: Linda Kemp, Richard "Dick" Sutton, Jr (Shayna Baecker), Beverly Toomey (Rory), and Warner "Kimo" Sutton (Christine); four grandchildren: Gregory Kemp (Chi), Tracy McManus, Stuart Sutton, Andrew Sutton (Maggie); and five great-grandchildren: Taylor and Logan Kemp, Nate and John McManus, and Max Sutton. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Honolulu Elks Lodge, 2933 Kalakaua Ave. Arrangements Provided By: Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary
