93, of Honolulu, passed away at Arcadia Retirement Residence on January 30. Born in Papa'aloa, Hawai'i, he was a former teacher and principal on Hawai'i Island and O'ahu, DOE District Curriculum Specialist, retired as Professor Emeritus, Dept. Chair, Dept. of Educational Administration, College of Education, UH Manoa, co-founder of IOTA, ASCD board member and Head Sensei 7th Dan, Manoa Aikido Club. Survived by daughters, Lorene Adachi (Bill Gobie) and Stacey (Jimmy) Enoka; son, Rian Adachi; brothers, Robert (Thelma) Adachi and Roy (Margie) Adachi; sister, Eiko (Kenneth) Ebesu; sister-in-law, Eunice Onitsuka; nephews and nieces.
