FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Geri Rasmussen
81, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away February 23rd at Queen's Hospital in Honolulu, HI. Born in Wailuku, Maui and relocated with her family at age 2 to Oahu where she graduated from Kaimuki High School. Shortly after graduating, she met the love of her life, Merlin Rasmussen. They were married at Kapahulu Bible Church and were part of the "barn kids," at the inception of the church. After Merlin retired from the Air Force reserve, they made their home in Minnesota. Geri was an active boy scout den mother, a Pioneer girl leader, and vacation bible school instructor. She was also an active member in the Civil Air Patrol. In 2008, she returned home to Oahu with son, Craig, where she lived until passing. Geri spent her life spreading the love of God and raising her children, grandchildren and even a few great-grandchildren. She has now found her eternal home with God and is survived by sons; Merlin Jr., Craig, Galean, Jon, and Gordon, daughters; Patricia Inman, Ruth (Eirik) Lohr, Virginia (David) Rasmussen-Perry, 19 grandchildren, and 10 great- grandchildren; 3 brothers, Garrett Zane, Clayton Zane, Anthony Pang, 5 sisters; Helen Robello, Jacquelyn Grow, Evalani Pang, Debra Drose, Staria Hosaka, and Lily Rabago. Preceded in death by parents; George Zane and Marie Pang, husband; Merlin Rasmussen, grandchildren; Parker Inman and Daniel Rasmussen, brothers; Melvin Zane, Joseph Pang Jr, Robert Pang, and William Mendez Jr, sister, Joylette Pang. Her Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am, Saturday, March 9th at Kapahulu Bible Church, visitation at 10am. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
