Hermenegilda Torres, known to family and friends as "Gilda", passed away on February 8, 2019 in Wahiawa, at the age of 64. She was born in Honolulu on April 13, 1954 to the late Joaquin and Enid Reyes. She was the eldest daughter of 7 children. Growing up she helped raise her siblings. She had her first child at 19 and later married the love of her life on 10/15/1985. They soon after had two children of their own. Gilda truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, whether it was chatting with friends and family, camping, going to the beach, watching Korean dramas, or just spending time with her grandchildren. Her greatest trait was her ability to make those she met feel like family. She will forever be known as an amazing wife, the cool mom, glue of the family, and the greatest grandma ever. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Torres; children, Scott Liwai, Justin Torres, Casey Fajardo; grandchildren, Anfernee Liwai, Johnny Fajardo and Audrey Fajardo. Services will be held at Valley of the Temples Mortuary Makai Chapel on Friday, March 15, 2019. Visitation: 11:30 am Service: 12:00 pm Burial: 2:00 pm at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
