Age 71 of Honolulu passed away on February 20, 2019. He graduated from Kaimuki High School and attended the University of Hawaii. Nathan worked at GEM's Garden Shop from 1969 to 1991. He then worked at Honolulu Botanical Gardens and retired as the Community Gardens Coordinator in 2011. Nathan was a beloved member of the Cactus and Succulent Society of Hawaii, having served as its past president. He was well known for his knowledge of succulents and tillandsias and for his worldwide contacts. He is survived by sister Sandy (Everett) Pang, brother Malcolm, nephews Ethan and Kevin, and niece Keri. He touched many lives with his smile, loving heart, generous spirit and easy going attitude. He will be missed by all who knew him.
