FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Shingo Higuchi
Shingo HiguchiAge 91, of Aiea, Oahu passed away in St. Louis Missouri on December 25, 2018 peacefully with loved ones by his side. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Teruko Higuchi. He was born September 26, 1927 to Kakuzo and Haruko Higuchi. Shingo was a retired electrician and a 63-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) local 1186 (since 1955). He is survived by his son, Darryl (Debbie) and daughter, Dana (Robert) Carvalho; along with grandchildren David Higuchi and Lauren Carvalho. He is a graduate of Waipahu High School Class of '45 and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1947. A soft-spoken man of few words but words given as "good as gold," and his signature smile always warmed your heart. He was one always willing to lend a helping hand. Shingo led a long and honorable life and will be fondly remembered and forever missed. Family Visitation: 12:30 pm; Memorial Service: 1 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary East Chapel with a reception to follow to celebrate Shingo's life.
