Kiyooko V. Sproat
Kiyooko Victoria Sproat, 87, of Kailua, Hawai'i passed away March 1, 2019. She was born December 27, 1931 in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia to the late Giju Moriyama and Daisy Nanpei. Kiyooko and Emanuel married on May 24, 1952 in Pohnpei Micronesia and they lived in Kailua. She was a homemaker, dedicating her time to her family as well as the community. Kiyooko was involved with the Kailua Seniors, the Pali Seniors, and was a Choral Group Leader. She was awarded the Valentine Sweet Heart. She won numerous awards and was voted by her club members to be recognized by the Mayor and city and county, for her extensive volunteer work. Kiyooko had many talents: wood work, crafting, sewing, lei making and raising orchids for which she won awards for. She loved Hawn Music along with playing the ukulele, singing and dancing all things Hawn. She donated her time and service to teaching and sharing her many skills. Along with donating baby caps she knitted yearly to hospitals. "Everything our mother attempted she would exceed all expectations". Kiyooko is predeceased by her husband, Emanuel N. Sproat. She is survived by her two daughters Daisy and Evonne, her son John, her granddaughter Amy, and her two great-grandchildren Connor and Aras. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Valley of the Temples Trousdale Chapel. Visitation will be at 10:30am, with service at 11:00am, and luncheon to follow.
