Died peacefully on March 8, 2019, in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the age of 87. Renowned finance professor, esteemed mentor to decades of business students, co-author of a series of International Finance books, devoted husband and father. Arthur was born in New York City on April 16, 1931 to Harold Stonehill and Norma Liebling Stonehill. He graduated from Andover Academy, Yale College (B.A.), Harvard Business School (M.B.A.), and the University of California at Berkeley (Ph.D). He served as a U.S. Navy Officer during the early 1950s. He is survived by his wife Kari (Enge) Stonehill, after 54 years of marriage, and by his children, Inger Stonehill of Hawaii, Wence Kvam of Oregon, and Sverre Kvam of Norway. His granddaughter Ivana of New York City. His brother Robert J. Stonehill, of California, also survives him. He was predeceased by his brother John Jay Stonehill.
