1937 ~ 2019 David was born, raised, and lived out his life in Hawaii. He graduated from Punahou School (1955), received a BA from the U. of Colorado, Boulder (1959), and he graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School (PCBS) in Seattle in 1983. Immediately after graduation from the U. of C., he began work with First Hawaiian Bank where he remained for the entirety of his career. He retired in 2005 as Executive Vice-President, Credit Administration for FHB. David loved the sea. He was a life long sailor, competing in yacht races throughout the islands. He sailed in the Trans PAC Yacht race in 1969 and was a member of both the Hawaii Yacht Club and Waikiki Yacht Club. He was once voted Crewman of the Year in Hawaii. In addition to sailing, David loved cruise ships and traveled the world with friends. David is survived by his brother, John and his wife, Carolyn, of Novato, CA.; his two nieces, Alexanne Madison and husband, Christopher Busch of Seattle and Jessica Madison of Austin, and by his best friend and caregiver, Yongchai "Yut" Raksapol.
