PAUL CHARLES ANDRUS
PAUL CHARLES ANDRUSPaul C. Andrus, 94 of Kaneohe, Hawaii passed away on March 4, 2019. He was born October 5, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah to George and LaVerna Andrus. He joined the US Army Air Corp in 1943 and was a bomber pilot during World War II. Paul served a three year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Japan after the war. He married Frances Maluhia Parker in 1952 in the Laie Temple. They served as mission president over the Northern Far East Mission (Japan, Korea and Okinawa) from 1955 - 1962. Paul was a dedicated member of the church and he served faithfully in many callings. He was a Regional Representative with assignments in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines and Hawaii from 1972 - 1977. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Frances and their five children. Vaun Andrus (Shawna), Chuck Andrus (Kit), LaVerna Stapler (Rick), Jay Andrus (Nalani) and Eva Maile Andrus-Price (Steve). They have seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. We wish to thank all those who helped care for Dad over the years from the Kaneohe 3rd Ward, Kaiser and VA health professionals and those at the Aloha Nursing and Rehab Center in Kaneohe. Funeral services with be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the Kaneohe Stake Center at 46-117 Halaulani Street, Kaneohe, Hawaii. There will be a viewing before the funeral from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The funeral services will start at 11:00 a.m. Burial following funeral at 2:00 p.m. Kaneohe Veterans Cemetery, 45-349 Kamehameha Highway.
