91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2019. Philip was born May 11, 1927 and was the youngest of 4 children. He graduated from Saint Louis High School in 1945. He served in the US Army, post WW2, and was stationed in the South Pacific. After his employment at HC&D, he began a career with the Honolulu Police Department where he bravely served for 31 years and retired as a detective. He also worked at the Kahala Hilton, and volunteered at Straub Hospital. Philip is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alice Kazue, daughters Stephanie Bento, Kathy Cunneely (Gene), and sons Philip (Rhoda), and Kimo (Jay). Philip has been blessed with 8 grandchildren, Spencer (Kui), Kana, Jayme, Kainoa, Kanani, Brighton, Makala and Kalekona. As well as 7 great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Hawaii Memorial Park on Wednesday, April 3rd. Viewing 9:30-10:30 am, service 10:30-11:30 am.
