Lorraine Fay MackayLorraine Fay Mackay passed away at home in Honolulu 4/11/19 under Hospice Hawaii Care. She was born in Star City, Saskatchewan 2/2/1937, received her R.N. at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert Saskatchewan, Canada and moved to California after graduation where she was a director of Nursing in Pomona, California. She then moved initially to Hawaii in 1967 where she practiced private duty nursing and nursed briefly in Australia and Alaska. Lorraine returned to Hawaii in 1972, the place she loved and worked in private duty nursing and volunteered for Hospice Hawaii. She was a very proficient artist in Palette knife, collage, pen and ink, and especially in pottery, and was a member of the Hawaii Potters Guild. She was a devoted wife of 41 years and is survived by her husband Donald Mackay, sister Connie Hennings-Chilton of Kailua, HI; brother Roy and Linda Hennings of Saskatoon Sask., Stepchildren Don "Mac" Mackay, Jr. of Honolulu, Lisa Diane and Richard Campbell of North Bend, WA; and grandson Taylor Kai Campbell of Dallas, TX. She traveled extensively with her sister Connie, and then with her husband Donald, throughout Asia, numerous trips to Europe, the Mainland USA, Canada, N.Z., South America, China, Mexico, and Tahiti. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Aina Haina and was a wonderful friend to many and will be truly missed! In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Hawaii 860 Iwilei Rd.
