FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

RYAN MINEO NAKASHIMA
RYAN MINEO NAKASHIMA52, of Mililani, earned his wings on March 24, 2019 surrounded by his family after a courageous two-year battle with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. During this time, he was able to travel to Seattle to meet his first grandchild Brady, made a few trips to his favorite vacation destination Las Vegas, and spent quality time with family and friends. The Nakashima Family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Jonathan Cho for the gift of more time with Ryan through his exceptional medical care, Dr. Troy Tada for keeping him pain free, Dr. Ilan Bernstein for his expert guidance with Palliative care, Dr. Michael Duick, Daryle Ann Ho-Yokoyama RN. and the staff at Malama Ola Health Services for their compassionate hospice care, and for all others that helped him through his hard-fought battle. He is survived by his beloved Wife and Soulmate Huikyong (Kimi); sons Shawn and Dylan; grandson Brady; Parents Ian and Shay'anne Nakashima; siblings Lezley (Kevin Kitagawa), John (Sheryl), Guy (Kirsten), Ian Kurt (Liane), and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
