79, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2019 in St. Paul, Minnesota where he lived for the past 50 years. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Wayne was a 1957 graduate of Farrington HS and 1963 graduate of UH. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean (Fujimoto); son Erik, daughter-in-law Denise and granddaughters Malia and Kiana; brother Terril and sister Deanne Keko'olani; brothers- and sisters-in-law Stanley Fujimoto, Richard and Carol Fujimoto, and Irene and Tommy Hashimoto; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Nobutaro and Eleanor (Sakata) Takeshita, mother- and father-in-law Clara and Kazumasa Fujimoto, brother- and sisters-in-law Robert and Rita Kanemaru and Barbara Fujimoto. Visitation: 4:00 p.m.; Funeral Service: 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 at Honpa Hongwanji Hawai'i Betsuin, Pali Highway.
