Jerry Mitsuo Hirata, born June 17, 1952, died on March 4, 2019 of pancreatic cancer. He was a graduate of Waipahu High School, class of 1970, and the University of Hawaii. Before passing, Jerry was the Lead Lender Relations Specialist for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA.gov). He was very proud and passionate of his work and the many relationships he developed while working with the SBA and Central Pacific Bank, prior. Jerry joins his family in heaven, brother Miles Hirata, dad Hitoshi and mom Jane Meiko. He is survived by sister, Kay Bicoy (Stanley "Mel"), uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews and his many cats. His "Heavenly retirement/ Birthday/Memorial" will be celebrated on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Mililani Memorial Park, Mauka Chapel. Family visitation: 9:00 a.m.; Visitation and Celebration of Life: 9:30-10:30 a.m.; Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m., lunch to follow in Mililani Mauka Dining Hall. Mahalo Ke Akua, Mahalo Nui Loa!
