Angeles "Naty or Angie" Dy Baptista, age 85, of Aiea, Hawaii, went to heaven on April 23, 2019. She was born in Tubao, La Union, Philippines, on October 2, 1933, to Juan Dy Yat Lai and Paula Rivera. Angie moved her family to Hawaii in May 1969 to join her husband. She worked for the Ala Moana Hotel and retired after 25 years. While working, Angie received her real estate and broker's license; and started her own business Baptista, Inc. in 1983. A year later, she and her friend Dolores Ortal opened up Baptista-Ortal Realty, Inc. Angie had great faith in God and her friends and family describe her as kind, caring, and compassionate. She always prepared delicious baked goods and food to give to many of her friends, relatives, co-workers and clients. Angie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Petronio "Pete"; her son, Nick and his wife Teresa of Boise, Idaho; her daughter, Nita and her husband Paul Nowakowski of Pleasanton, California; and her daughter, Maria Lourdes; her six grandchildren: Jordan, Keenan, Brandan, and Jaiman Baptista, Kristen and Preston Nowakowski; her sister, Ernestina Gencianeo of Cavite, Philippines; numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends that had become family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Church, 99-312 Moanalua Road, Aiea. Family Visitation: 9:00 a.m.; Public Visitation: 9:30 a.m.; Eulogy: 10:30 a.m.; Mass: 11:00 a.m.; Burial: 1:00 p.m. at the Valley of the Temple, 47-200 Kahekili Highway, Kaneohe. Aloha attire.
