JOSEPH Y.K. LEE, COACH JOE 89, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away at home on April 24, 2019. Joseph graduated from McKinley High School in 1949 and after 33 years retired from the Hawaii Newspaper Agency. In the late 1950's he was Boy Scout Master at the Kaimuki Evangelical Church. He was active in the Iolani School tennis program from 1972-1985 and also taught tennis at Makiki Park as a volunteer. Joseph participated in Senior tennis tournaments and enjoyed fishing, diving, photography and travelling and served in the Hawaii National Guard. He is survived by his wife Lily C. Lee of 61 years; sons Jonathan (Donna) Lee, Paul (Sharon) Lee (Tracy, CA); sister Eva Thomasson; 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Joseph was predeceased by his daughter Ruth Lee Wong. Celebration of Life for Joseph will be held on Saturday June 15, 2019 at Diamond Head Mortuary. Visitation to begin at 1:30 pm and Service at 3:00 pm. Burial Monday June 17, 2019 at Diamond Head Memorial Park at 9:00 am.
