93, born in Hilo, Hawaii, passed away on May 10, 2019 in Honolulu. She was a cosmetologist and owned her own business, Michi's Beauty Salon. Michi led an active and caring life. She loved gardening, running, cooking, traveling, dancing, sharing with others, and spending time with family and friends. Michi was predeceased by her husband, Edward Takeyama. She is survived by daughters: Cara (Randall) Nip, Lori (Michael) Takeyama-Goshi, and Terri (Brian) Okada; grandchildren: Michael, Kari, Noah, Micah, Lianne and Kaylen; and three great-grandchildren.
