The life adventures of our Beloved Leroy Maghanoy ended on March 9, 2019 at the age of 71. He fought a tough battle against Cancer in 2014. Cancer was in remission but returned in July 2018 and was deemed terminal. Leroy was born on January 13, 1948 in Kahuku, HI and resided in the City of Tracy; Central Valley CA. Leroy was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and served four tours in Vietnam. He was an avid diver, fisherman, and inventor. Leroy coached youth softball and baseball and he was popularly known for his famous "See da Ball, Hit da Ball" slogan. His employment before retiring included: Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, NAS Moffett Field Public Works Division, BAMSI Inc., International Power Technology, San Jose State University, Alluvion Nurseries of HI, Kahuku Shrimp Farm HI, Kahuku Housing HI and State of HI Dept. of Land & Natural Resources. He was a dedicated and loyal employee in all the positions he held. Survived by: Wife Nora Beth Navarro, Daughters Katrina (James) Martinez and Malia Rose Maghanoy, Grandsons Austin Maghanoy-Hoyt and Chance Maghanoy, step-Mom Dominga Maghanoy, Brothers Louis and Glen, Sisters Janet, Pamela, Eloise, Claudia, and Ramona. He has many Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces and Cousins. Memorial Services will be held on June 8, 2019 at St. Michael's Church in Waialua. Visitation 8:30 am to 10:15 am. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. A scattering of ashes at sea will be done privately.
