Passed peacefully on May 15, 2019 at the age of 85. Married his soulmate the late Milly Kagawa. Retired as an Airline Mechanic from Hawaiian Air. He was a handy man, a line dancing instructor and had a green thumb. Many people will remember his broke da mouth Takuwan that you could never quite replicate even though he gave you the recipe. Survived by son, Eric (Judy); daughters, Jamie Hernandez, Lynne Kagawa; brother Walter Kagawa; sister, Jane Miyahira, granddogs Kai, Ryder and Riley; grandcat Mustard. A celebration of life service will be held June 16, 2019 (Sunday) @ Hosoi Garden Mortuary; 11:00 a.m. visitation; 12 noon service.
