FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

JACOB LEE
JACOB LEE97, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. He was born on March 26, 1922 in Kokomo, Maui, grew up in Hali'imaile, graduated from Maui High School and moved to Honolulu. He served in the United States Army during WWII, rose to the rank of Master Sergeant and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a mechanic for the City & County of Honolulu's Automotive Division retiring as Shop Foreman. A devoted husband and father predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Soonie, he is survived by his four children: Betty (Ronald) Nakamoto, Joyce (Marvin) Uehara, Gary (Mikie) and Ivan (Rona); six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and sister, Rose Lizares. Jacob enjoyed bowling (214 game July 2018), hanafuda and traveling to Las Vegas with his family and bowling friends. He was an outstanding mechanic who could fix anything and was always available to others with his MacGyver-like skills. Our parents donated their bodies to the John A. Burns School of Medicine. No services will be held.
