Born in Wahiawa, she was educated on Oahu at Leilehua H.S. and St. Francis Hospital Nursing School. She earned her Certificate of Nursing at St. Vincent Hospital, Missouri. In her retirement years, she was active in Healing Society in Action, which teaches people to improve their physical health and spread love to family, friends, and society. She is survived by her husband, Edwin Y.F. Leong, Jr.; sons, Robin Leong (Gail Sugimoto Leong), Jay Leong, Kent Leong (Jaylene), David Leong, Mark Leong (Breige); sister, Jane Endo; and by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
