FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

REUBEN KEE SEU ZANE
Reuben Kee Seu Zane, born in Honolulu, Hawaii to parents Kee Fook Zane and Thelma Woo Zane, passed away at age 86. He was a 1951 alumnus of Punahou School where he was a star athlete in football and basketball. Upon graduation from Syracuse University, School of Architecture, Reuben was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant USAF. He served at Shaw AFB, Sumter, SC and Wright-Patterson AFB, Fairborn, OH. He retired as a Captain USAF. Reuben was a partner with Onodera, Kinder, and Zane. In 1975, he opened his own architectural practice until his retirement as an AIA Emeritus member. He was a member of the Syracuse Chapter Gargoyle Society, Sigma Upsilon Alpha, Hawaiian Kennel Club, Ket On Society, and Tsung Tsin Association. Reuben is survived by his wife of 62 years Shirley H., daughter Donna Jean, sons Dean Arthur and Dale Edward (Kathleen), grandson David, sister Audrey S.L., brother Milton M.F. (Jonna), nieces, nephews, and cousins. Taoist services will be held at Nuuanu Mortuary on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 9:00 am to 12 noon, with burial to follow at Diamond Head Memorial Park at 12:45 pm.
