Our beloved Steve left us unexpectedly on May 27, 2019 surrounded by his many friends and family. He was only 47. He was born in Honolulu on March 13, 1972 and was a graduate of Kaiser High School. He was a videographer by profession but had recently made a career change, working as a laborer for Koolau Builders. Though he found the work demanding he tackled each day with a smile. As was his way, he made more wonderful friends there. Steve's ashes will be partially scattered at the Docks at Maunalua Bay, in the ocean he so loved. We will miss him terribly but will look forward to seeing his smiling face again in the next life. He is survived by his wife Michiyo, father Paul (Tamiko Nagae) Kanemori, mother Charlene (George) Iwahiro, brother Joel (Audrey) Kanemori, grandmothers Freida Kanemori and Helen Torigoe, niece Kayla Kanemori and nephew Micah Kanemori. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, June 25 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Visitation will commence at 5:00 pm with services to follow at 6 pm.
