March 31, 1930 ~ May 13, 2019 At the age of 89, Raymond "Ray" K. Terada passed quietly in his sleep on May 13, 2019, while fighting pneumonia at Kaiser Medical Center, Walnut Creek, CA. Ray was born and raised in Ulupalakua. He attended Honolulu Business College, where he met his wife Miyoko (Miki), and served in the U.S. Air Force. He and Miki raised their son and daughter, Randy & Amy, in Southern California. Ray and Miki returned to Kula, from the mainland, in 1996. He founded and was President of the Kula Gateball Club until a few years ago, and was an avid farmer, fisherman, handyman, sports enthusiast and happy- go-lucky retiree. He leaves behind his son Randy (Janet), daughter Amy; grandchildren Ryan and Kaylin; sister Peggy and several nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Miki, and sisters Dorothy, Jean and Patricia.
