So loving, so beloved. Frances Sai Fun Yee Char, 98, of Honolulu, passed into grace on June 11, 2019. As in life, she was surrounded by family. A devoted daughter, sister, and wife, Frances dedicated her life to her five children; and doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She remains our family's heart and our foundation. Frances was a faithful friend with a ready and radiant smile. Predeceased by her parents, two brothers and two sisters; she is now reunited with her husband of 60 years David S.Y. Char and her daughter Ernell M.S. Young. Frances is survived by her children Estelle C. Wong, Sidney C.L. Char, Richard C.H. Char, and Davilyn C. Gray; her sister Irene Y. Young; her eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and countless aunties, cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family invites you to join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, July 6th at Waiokeola Congregational Church. Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. with services at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park, Kaneohe.
