74, transitioned on May 15, 2019 at his home in Dixon, Missouri. Michael was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Donald C.K. and Betty L.H. (Chang) Lee, both preceded him in death. Michael graduated from Kalani High School, then went on to Lewis & Clark College, Portland OR., San Francisco College of Podiatric Medicine and residency in Oakland, CA. He met Roze (Cohen) on August 26, 1999 and they were married September 25, 2011. Michael was the first of a very few Podiatrists in the islands in the early '70's and became very popular. He was very compassionate with all of his patients and even made house calls! He had close to 44 years of practice with clinics all over the island. He retired in 2011 due to illness. He was an avid golfer, marathon runner and traveled the states to do so. Michael was also a biker, triathlon and ironman participant and loved traveling the globe. He is survived by wife Roze Cohen Lee; sons: Juston (Rachel) Alexander and Jon (Michelle) Alexander of Missouri; hanai son, Scott Chen of San Francisco; grand and great grandchildren; brother Donald G. (Shyrlene) Lee; sister Elizabeth L. (Glen) Tango; nephews: Darren Y.T. (Karen) Lee; all of Hawaii, Ryan Y.C. (Michelle) Lee, San Diego; and a host of nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Elks Lodge in Waikiki Friday, July 19, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Canoes and paddlers to set sail prior to the festivities.
