Leslie Andrew Fountain
77, died from a long illness on June 25, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Leslie was born January 2, 1942 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He and his wife have been together since 1982. Growing up in "town", he was a graduate of Farrington HS. One of his first jobs was as a caddy at O'ahu Country Club. He learned to play and became a lover of golf. He won the ProAm in 1985. He continued to play golf with family and friends as long as he could. Leslie worked for Matson Navigation for over 37 years. He was a very proud and worked hard. He starting as a shipping clerk retiring as a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by wife Rosita Domingo Fountain; children: Cherrilin Fountain, Paul L. Fountain, Sherri "Jody" (George) Akeo, Jay K. Fountain, Scott H. Fountain, Andrea Marie (Adam) Akiu, Tiffany (Rodney) Rabang; 13 Grandchildren; 11 Great-grandchildren (and still counting); brothers: John (Kehau) Hines and David (Kerry) Hines. He was predeased by siblings Leroy K. Fountain, Joseph Hines and Gail Nicki Hines. Special love and thanks to brothers-in-law Alberto S. Domingo and Louis S. Domingo and sister-in-law Pilar S. Domingo. They have been at his side throughout his illness showing love, compassion and care until his passing.
