Luviminda Villanueva Lewis, “Luvi”
Luviminda Villanueva Lewis, LUVIMINDA VILLANUEVA LEWIS, LUVI Luviminda "Luvi" Villanueva Lewis, passed away on May 10, 2019. Born on August 3, 1938 in Honolulu to the late Norberto C. and Adela (Perez) Villanueva. She graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy in 1956 and attended the University of Hawaii, Manoa. Luvi was admired for her graceful performances in the arts of hula, flamenco, and ballroom dance. She dedicated many years in the travel industry as a flight attendant for Aloha, Hawaiian and United Airlines and later in the United Club in Honolulu (formerly known as the "Red Carpet Club"). A loved one described her "as a spark of life that inspired others to live life with joy, laughter and love". Another shared that "she was a dynamic woman with an elegance and charm like no other, and a sense of humor loved by all." She is dearly missed by her daughter, Solana Lewis Olsen, son-in-law, Jonathan Olsen, two granddaughters, Raya and Jonnie, niece and husband, Kathy and Ed Felipe, grandnephew, Tyler, and nephew, Russell Tongg. A celebration of her life will be held on July 27, 2019 at Mary, Star of the Sea Church. Visitation 9:30 a.m. Service 10:45 a.m. Private burial to follow.
