Surrounded by her family, Faafouina 'Fema' Eliu Ate was called to glory on July 2, 2019. She was born on April 6, 1941 on Swains Island, (Olohega), Tokelau to Siatiu Tautua and Eliu Tainano. She was a sister to 3 brothers and 5 sisters. On February 17, 1968, she married Siaosi Maka Ate, and remained a loving and extraordinary wife, mother and housewife 'till her final breath. Faafouina Ate's legacy lives on through her husband, Siaosi Ate and 11children: Ropati (lne) Eliu, Rita (Jackson) Nagata, Tautua (Queenie) Eliu, Pele (Filipo-deceased) Lafaele, Siaosi Ate, Jr., Emele Ate, Silulu (Farah Omalza) Ate, Motulu (Jonell) Ate, Ana (Randy) Piena, Nalani (Vengi) To'oto'o, Eliu (Helen) Ate; 41 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is survived also by her brother Faamausili Tagilima Eliu and her sister Sasa Te'o. Farewell Celebration Service will be held on August 3, 2019 at Mililani Mortuary, Downtown Chapel. Public viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. Service from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Burial at Mililani Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. "Join us in Celebrating Faafouina's life and saying farewell to our beloved Queen of Hearts"
