FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Michael Lanyon Wilson
MICHAEL LANYON WILSON 86, died on Monday, June 3, at home in Nu'uanu. Born in Hilo on May 10, 1933 to Walter and India Wilson, he spent his early years on Oahu and later attended New Mexico Military Academy and University of Colorado at Boulder. He served in the military for two years, stationed in Europe. After serving he worked for Amfac, first in Hawaii and then in northern California. He returned to Hawaii to become the general manager of Unicold Corporation, and retired here. He was a member of the Pacific Club, Kaneohe Yacht Club, and the Oahu Country Club, where he regularly lunched with the Rod and Gun Club. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Shannon; three daughters: Miki Wilson, Katy Wilson and Pegeen Johnson; grandchildren: Colin Markson, Casey Markson, Meggie Sharp, and Mattie Hopstedt; three stepchildren: Sarah, Jennifer, and John Stewart; two step-grandchildren: Sophie and Nicholas Stewart-Bloch; and his sister Delia Schmedding.
