85, of Aiea, passed away on June 18, 2019. Born in North Hilo, Hawaii, he was a retired electrical engineer for the U.S. Government at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. Preceded in death by wife, Jane, he is survived by his son, Darren (Shelby) Shitabata; daughter, Lisa (Darrell) Hee; grandchildren, Brennan, Bryant and Kyler; step- grandchildren, Chelsea, Kimo and Cameron; brothers, Albert (Aileen) and Earl (Marian) Shitabata; sisters, Mildred (Fred) Endo and June Shitabata; brother-in-law, Taichi Isono; sisters-in-law, Hayako Shitabata and Asako Shitabata.
