88, of Honolulu, a retired research associate for the Japan-Hawaii Cancer Study, passed away at home on June 29, 2019. She was born in Wailuku. Predeceased by husband, S. Don Shimazu and daughter, Patricia Shimazu Lau. Survived by son, Wesley Shimazu; daughters, Sharon (Gerald) Toyomura, Donna Shimazu, Esther Shimazu and Rachel (Michael) Moriyama; hanai son, Mark (Trina) Odani; son-in-law, Loren Lau; brother, Yoshikatsu Imao; and by grand- children, Nicholas and Elizabeth Moriyama, Christina Toyomura, and Kristen and Cara Odani.
