69, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2019. Russ was born in Kohala, Hawaii on March 26, 1950 to Carl and Hisayo. The family moved to Honolulu where Russ met his wife, Susan, in 1966 at McKinley High School. Together they celebrated 48 years of marriage this week. Russ and his eldest brother, Larsen, ran Hawaii Metal Forming, a glass and metal business founded by their father. Russ lived life to the fullest and made everyone around him laugh with his outgoing and generous nature. With a huge heart, Russ deeply loved his family and longtime friends who he considered family. In retirement Russ volunteered at Meals on Wheels, traveled often, and most importantly to him spent time with his family and friends. Russ is survived by his wife Susan, daughters Morgan Suzuki (husband Ben) and Robyn (husband Michael Jenkins), brothers Larsen and Morris, and sister Yvonne Toyama. Services will be held on Saturday, August 10 at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary. Visitation at 9:30am and service at 10:30am. Arrangements Provided By: Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary LLC
