Alfred See Lung Yuen
ALFRED SEE LUNG YUEN June 25, 1925 ~ June 30, 2019 Alfred See Lung Yuen of Honolulu passed away peacefully on June 30. He was 94. Alfred was the sixth of the ten children of William K. Yuen and Yuk Sum Tom. He attended Lunalilo Elementary, Washington Intermediate, and McKinley High School. After his honorable discharge in 1946 he worked at Fort Shafter, Hawaiian Electric, Don the Beachcomber's, West Coast Life, and Pearl Harbor, from where he retired in 1980. Alfred was an active member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, where he served as Senior Warden, Junior Warden, convention delegate, and youth adviser. He was also a Freemason and served on the Board of Governors for the Shriners Hospital for 12 years. Alfred married Doreen Chong at First Chinese Church in 1951. He is survived by his wife Doreen and their five sons: Stephen, Paul, James, Timothy and Richard; his sister Eva Mokiao, his daughters-in-law: Belinda, Judy, Lee Ann, Pam, and Keli, and grandchildren: Sebastian, Nathan, Daniel, Philip, Brandon, Allie, and Isabelle. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church on Saturday, September 7th. Visitation: 3:00 p.m.; Masonic Service: 3:45 p.m.; Memorial Service: 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children or St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
