Charnelle “Nelle” Okesi Leilani Keanuenue Ioane
31 years old, of Kapolei, Hawaii passed away on July 29, 2019. She was born on January 11, 1988 in Honolulu, HI. She was a devoted mother to Kaulana-David, a beloved daughter, lovely sister, special niece, "Big Tt", aunty and friend. She was an advertising specialist at the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. Charnelle loved Kaulana-David. She affectionately called him "Bubba". He was her "person", her reason, her hustle and the light of her life. She attended Kapolei High School, class of 2006, where she lettered in Bowling, Softball (JV Champions-2003 and Varsity State Champions-2004) and Track and Field (Western Division JV record holder for the discus). She is survived by her son, Kaulana-David Neilson; parents, Davilyn and Patrick Neilson; parents, Charles and Lorie Ioane; sisters, Charlee (Bryce) Kaonohi and Charlinda Ioane; brother, Charles "CJ" Ioane, Jr.; grandmother, Okesi Ioane; nieces, Malie (Best Friend), Kapili and Ku'u; aunties; uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by grandparents, David and Leilani (Rosa) Kamakea and Alapati Ioane. Services will be held on August 16, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kaneohe Stake Center, 46-117 Halaulani St., Kaneohe, HI 96744. Visitation will be at 9am. Services will be held at 11am. Burial at Hawaiian Memorial at 1pm. Aloha attire. Flowers welcome. Many family members and friends have already reached out to us with their aloha for Kaulana.
